Ron caught the Thunder Dragon Halberd, which had been sent flying by the impact, and spun it into a thorny flower outlined in lightning. He stood high in the sky.
"Lirisk told me everything about his father's ability. Did you think I'd come unprepared?"
Imu abruptly stopped flying backward. He lowered his gaze and uttered a term.
"Devil Fruit Awakening!"
Only Awakening could counter Awakening. It had to do with the particle vibrations shared by all Devil Fruits. Though they came from the same source, they could not merge with one another.
In Imu's eyes, Ron was wreathed in the Rumble-Rumble Fruit's explosive, corrosive lightning. It formed a blazing aura around him.
But he had not transformed the surrounding air into something like the Black Prison Thunder Realm.
That was because the lightning was spilling from his body, like water overflowing from a cup that kept being filled. He could not control it.
Inside Ron, however, that ferocious lightning held sway over every inch of his skin and every strand of flesh. It could resist the particle vibrations of any Devil Fruit that tried to invade his body.
If the Rumble-Rumble Fruit inside Ron had been within Imu's reach, this move would have been useless. But...

With the Azure Sky's Eye above him, he looked like a true god gazing down upon the mortal world, radiating unquestionable authority.
