Background / History

Harry is the son of Lily and James Potter, whom the wizarding world considers heroes. Lily's sacrificial protection caused Voldemort's Killing Curse to rebound, leaving Harry with his lightning-shaped scar and preventing Voldemort from killing him 14 76.

Following his parents' deaths, Harry was placed with his aunt Petunia Dursley and her family in Little Whinging.
