Background / History

Ye Chang'an once lived as an apparently ordinary man in a small village on the Heavenly Desolation Continent. He remembered transmigrating from Blue Star, meeting Ling Xianyue, marrying her, and raising their daughter, Ye Xinran. Ling Xianyue left twelve years before Xinran began her journey after recovering memories of a past life and fearing that her enemies would implicate him. 1

When twelve-year-old Ye Xinran departed to explore the world after reaching the Nascent Core Realm, Ye Chang'an received a System. It made his cultivation perpetually ten realms higher than his daughter's and granted him the Primordial Origin Body, the Divine Phoenix Body, Sword Heart, the Primordial Divine Hall, and its personnel. 1 He accepted his position as Hall Master, but chose to let Xinran gain real experience while he and his subordinates watched over her from afar. 2

His first public intervention came when a Great Sage targeted Ye Xinran at Heavenly Extremity Sacred Land. Ye Chang'an revealed himself as her father and annihilated the attacker with a single word. 6 He subsequently revealed the Primordial Divine Hall to Xinran, drove off the Heavenly Dao of the Heavenly Human Realm with one strike, and began establishing the Hall's influence across higher worlds. 7

Ye Chang'an later reunited with Ling Xianyue in the God Realm and aided her recovery and revenge against the enemies of her previous lives. 145 168 215 He also recruited and supported talented cultivators—including Yuwen Chenxing and Li Zhiyuan—while continuing to arrange protection and resources for Ye Xinran. 127 187 331

Upon returning to the Origin Ancestral Land, Ye Chang'an recovered his true memories. He learned that the Primordial Divine Hall's main body was the entire Origin Ancestral Land; that he had existed from the beginning of the world; and that he had selected five exceptionally talented beings from lower realms to establish the Hall. His journey as an ordinary man and father had been part of his search for a successor, ultimately leading him to Ye Xinran. 483
