Hunting the Giant Lizard

The blood on the lion's corpse had already dried, making it look as though it had been dead for an entire night.

Physical skills like Pounce and sweeping its tail were ineffective against skeletons, but this corrosive acid would certainly damage their bones.

Titch reacted swiftly and threw himself onto Round Head, shielding him from the incoming acid. The acid landed on the Crab Shell Armor, eating into it and producing an unpleasant white smoke. Fortunately, the armor was thick and sturdy enough. The acid only damaged the surface and did not penetrate it.

While the Sulfur Giant Lizard attacked Titch and Round Head, Ling Chu was already approaching swiftly from behind with her daggers in hand.

The Giant Lizard's Acidic Spit could not be used continuously. After spraying several streams of acid, it visibly paused. The sacs beside its cheeks opened and closed as if it were brewing an even greater wave of acid.

Seizing the opening, Ling Chu leaped forward and drove both daggers viciously into the wounds caused by the Shotgun. The sharp blades tore the wounds wider, and the Paralysis Toxin coating them entered the Giant Lizard's body almost instantly. The Ice Crystal Dagger's built-in freezing effect froze the wounds in an instant. Frost visibly spread from the cuts, freezing the Paralysis Toxin inside the Giant Lizard as well.

The Giant Lizard raised its neck high and howled even more furiously. At the same time, it lashed out with a sweep of tremendous force. Ling Chu had predicted that it would use this move when hurt. She planted both feet on its back and leaped backward with a backflip, narrowly dodging the tail sweep.

The Sulfur Giant Lizard could only rage helplessly, kicking up clouds of volcanic ash as it remained in place, while every acid projectile missed.

By the time it recovered and twisted its limbs, trying to charge at them, the Paralysis Toxin had begun to take effect.

The Giant Lizard's speed clearly began to slow. It went from running to walking, from walking to standing still, and finally lost even the strength to stand, collapsing flat on the ground.

The Paralysis Potion's duration varied according to the victim's Constitution. Ling Chu didn't know how long it would work on this Giant Lizard, and she didn't dare waste time. She advanced once more with both daggers in hand.

The motionless Giant Lizard was like a lamb awaiting slaughter. The sharp blade tips sank inch by inch into the scales at the back of the Sulfur Giant Lizard's neck, while icy chill seeped into its marrow.
