Mu Rong Chen strengthened his allies, drew Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo away from Spirit Hall, and led them to sea to hunt powerful Soul Beasts. After reaching Purple Pearl Island, the group attracted a vast horde and began battling a seventy-thousand-year Ring Viper.

• Mu Rong absorbed the Giant Python’s power and gained Gravity Domain, while Shi Nian took the Pill of Fate Mu Rong sent and was transformed by it.
• Shi Nian recovered his strength and appointed Zhang Lanfeng as Lingering Light Academy’s new headmaster, then Mu Rong absorbed a Phantom Sound Demon Bat’s Spirit Seed and reached Rank 62.
• Lingering Light Academy drew crowds away from History Academy, and Zhan Tai Lei and Zhang Lanfeng clashed with Ming Wang before Qin Ming broke Zhang Lanfeng’s illusion and struck him down.
• Mu Rong Chen reached the Soul Emperor Realm, obtained a Soul Ring and Soul Bone from the Nine-Headed Ice Dragon Serpent, and confronted Chrysanthemum Douluo when he attacked Dugu Bo.
