Vegeta was now focused solely on figuring out how to destroy No. 20. He arrived in the rocky area below and said, "That guy didn't fly away. He probably escaped on foot to avoid being spotted by us! He shouldn't have gone far."
Meanwhile, No. 20 was fleeing through the rocky hideout. Since the winding paths made it difficult to tell which way he was going, even Vegeta couldn't determine his direction. Bulma was still curious. "Hey, that strange old man from earlier was an Android, right?"
While soothing the crying Kid Trunks, Bulma said to them, "That was probably Dr. Gero himself. I've seen him in science magazines. How strange—did he modify himself?"
Krillin, Goku, and the others were all stunned. Krillin hurriedly said to Future Trunks, "That Android from earlier was Dr. Gero."
They had all heard what Krillin said, and it only increased their anger. Vegeta became even more agitated. "He's Dr. Gero himself? What the hell is going on?"

Bulma soothed the Kid Trunks in her arms. "Trunks, look at how scary your daddy looks!" But Vegeta scoffed. "That reminds me. Dr. Gero may not be a good person, but he's a genius scientist."
Vegeta grew even angrier. Pointing at Future Trunks, he said, "Nothing you've said makes any sense. Wasn't Dr. Gero killed by the Androids? Now you're saying the Androids are different too."
