The moment Yahiko was targeted by that man, he felt a chill run through his entire body, as if he had fallen into an ice cellar. His hands and feet turned cold, and his whole body stiffened.

"W-what... what's going on?" Yahiko was shocked. After being locked onto by that mysterious Anbu member, he seemed completely flustered.

"Oh no, it's him!" Konan thought anxiously. She had already guessed who it was as soon as that man appeared. A wave of panic washed over her.

That man was no ordinary person. He was Hanzo of the Salamander's right-hand man and most trusted subordinate, the strongest assassin in all of Amegakure after Hanzo himself—Sengetsu Taki!

Sengetsu Taki's life could be called quite legendary. His story was practically on par with the protagonist of a movie, though Konan had no idea what "protagonist" actually meant.

But in Konan's eyes, Sengetsu Taki's life really was just like that. His parents died when he was young, and on a snowy day, Hanzo of the Salamander took him back to Amegakure and personally trained him. As it turned out, the boy displayed astonishing talent.

He stood out at the training camp, decisively killing every other trainee in his year. Hanzo of the Salamander took a liking to him and selected him as a trusted member of the Anbu. Step by step, he had risen to where he was now.

Sengetsu Taki's career as a ninja was simple: take a mission, assassinate the target, complete the mission; take a mission, assassinate the target, complete the mission!
