The Rinnegan That Took the Long Way Around

"You're the one!" Uchiha Chen fixed his blazing gaze on the lone Obito Uchiha.

Of course, the one Chen was pinning his hopes on wasn't Obito, but Black Zetsu, who had completely taken control of Obito's body. If Obito got his hands on the Rinnegan, why would he willingly hand it over to Madara?

Naturally, Black Zetsu, who was wholly devoted to resurrecting his mother, was the best choice for Chen.

After making up his mind, Chen put Black Zetsu at the top of his plan. Now, he might have to borrow Itachi's Summoned Beast.

He bit his thumb, drew a line across his other palm, then formed Hand Seals and gently slapped his hand against the ground.

When the small cloud of smoke dissipated, a black crow appeared before Chen. He slipped the Rinnegan into its beak, pointed at Obito, and said softly, "Go."

The crow cawed twice, then flapped its wings and flew toward the ground where Black Zetsu was.

Everyone on the battlefield was focused on Sasuke, Naruto, and Madara. No one would pay attention to a small, unimportant crow.

Even if someone noticed it, they wouldn't think much of it. What could a little crow possibly do?

Even Kakashi instinctively ignored the crow flying toward Obito. Only Sasuke glanced at it because of his brother, Itachi, but he didn't think much of it or use his Rinnegan to inspect it closely.

If he had looked carefully, he might have noticed that the crow had a Rinnegan in its beak!
