Uchiha Chen Appears

Madara had only just become the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki. He hadn't fully grasped the Ten-Tails' power—or even the power of the Rinnegan.

Kekkei Mōra was still far beyond Madara's reach. For now, he had only just learned to use the power of the Six Paths. Given time, he might have learned to control Kekkei Mōra and perhaps even developed new powers, but Black Zetsu would never give him that time.

Chen knew how to use it, but his control over Kekkei Mōra and the Rinne Sharingan wasn't as good as he'd imagined. He could use Amenominaka and Yomotsuhirasaka, but nowhere near as skillfully as Kaguya Otsutsuki.

That was why Chen hadn't acted rashly. One side was a novice who barely knew a few moves; the other, a seasoned fighter who had mastered the art. Anyone could see there was no suspense about the outcome if they clashed.

Though they might have been on roughly the same level of power, Chen was far inferior to Kaguya when it came to wielding that power. That was the advantage of having lived longer. Given enough time, anyone could become strong.

Wary of the two of them, Kaguya hadn't pulled Chen or the person hiding in the shadows into her dimension. That suited Chen perfectly; he didn't want to reveal himself too soon.

Both of them knew the other was there, but neither dared to show himself first. It was a test of endurance: who would crack under the other's pressure first? Revealing oneself would mean losing the unseen contest.

Uchiha Chen held his breath, waiting for the hidden person to lose patience and jump out first. But events took an unexpected turn.
