The Sasuke-Naruto Crisis

Sasuke's heart lurched. By the time he realized what was happening, he had already been dragged into the Space Black Hole, with no chance to struggle.

"Sasuke!" Naruto turned, eyes wide, and watched helplessly as Sasuke was pulled into the space. By the time he reached the Space-time Rift, only a narrow slit remained.

Naruto stretched out his hand and desperately tried to pull the space apart, hoping to widen the rift so Sasuke could escape. But Sasuke himself was still in a daze—how could he possibly react?

"Sasuke!" Even as the rift vanished, Naruto kept shouting Sasuke's name. He knew that, just as Sasuke had said, the two of them were key to sealing Kaguya. If either of them was missing, they couldn't seal her.

Naruto might have seemed carefree, but he understood the situation. Being carefree didn't mean he couldn't think.

With Sasuke dragged into an unknown space, Naruto alone couldn't seal Kaguya.

He turned and glared at Kaguya, shouting, "Where did you hide Sasuke? Give him back to me!"

With a roar, Naruto leaped toward Kaguya, raised his fist, and tried to pummel her.

But Naruto had forgotten that he had only managed to suppress Kaguya before because Sasuke had been supporting him. Even then, they hadn't been able to truly injure her.

Now he was alone, without Sasuke's support. How could he possibly hurt her?

A smile returned to Kaguya's cool face. It was the first time she had smiled since the two of them began driving her back.

"Geh heh heh heh! You want to know where your Sasuke went? We killed him. Since you miss him so much, we'll send you to join him, Mother!" Black Zetsu's final words were clearly directed at Kaguya.
