Scorpion, Doctor Octopus, and Tombstone stood frozen in the distance, unable to understand what had just happened.
Hadn't the White-Haired Demon's mutant ability been temporarily suppressed?
Why had he already recovered when nowhere near an hour had passed?
Tombstone, whose body was impervious to bullets and blades, began trembling uncontrollably. He stared at the enormous fan-shaped ruin ahead, at the remains of the Prowler's body, no longer even vaguely human, and at his own right arm, which had vanished from nothing more than the aftershock of an attack...
"Ah!"
Only then did he let out a scream of agony. Blood poured from his severed arm. His once-indestructible body could no longer give him any sense of security!
He instinctively tried to flee, but after taking a single step, he realized one of his legs had vanished too. The next moment, he lost his balance and fell to the ground!
Farther away, Doctor Octopus and Scorpion hadn't suffered any serious injuries. They'd only been cut by flying stone fragments.
But they looked as if they'd been gravely wounded. They didn't dare move, staring blankly at the scene ahead—at Tombstone, crippled by nothing more than the aftershock of the attack.
They were all supervillains working for Kingpin. Though they didn't get along, they had always respected Tombstone's strength.
His bulletproof body and ability to generate intense heat made him a formidable fighter. Even they had no way to deal with him!
But how had a mere shockwave left him in such a state?
Where was his superpower?
Where was the indestructible body he'd been so proud of?
As smart people, they immediately understood the situation. Against the White-Haired Demon and his mutant ability, they had no chance!
Run!
Run now!
If they didn't, it would be too late!
But just as Doctor Octopus and Scorpion turned to flee, they froze again, not daring to move...
Gwen watched the scene before her. She'd seen it in the Global Daily's reports, but witnessing it in person made the sheer grandeur of this power all the more palpable!
Was this the White-Haired Demon's true strength?
What had he been through lately, and why had he grown so powerful so quickly?
Just as she was about to ask the White-Haired Demon, she suddenly saw him come up to her and place a hand on her head. His magnetic voice came from right in front of her.
"Thank you, Spider-Man. I'll take it from here!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Gwen saw the White-Haired Demon step forward and vanish from where he stood. In an instant, he appeared before Doctor Octopus and Scorpion, who had been trying to escape. He gave them both a bright smile.
"You two haven't returned the favor yet. Don't rush off!"
Before he'd finished speaking, Su Mu reached out toward Scorpion. A powerful force of attraction radiated from his palm, pulling Scorpion toward him.
Despair crossed Scorpion's face, then hardened into resolve. He attacked the White-Haired Demon with his sharp limbs and deadly tail stinger!
Even if he was doomed, he'd make the White-Haired Demon pay!
The White-Haired Demon had only just recovered. Perhaps he still couldn't fully control his mutant ability. That was Scorpion's chance!
Both his stinger and limbs carried deadly poison. If he could hit the White-Haired Demon, there might still be a chance of survival!
But he only saw a flash of blue light before his eyes. Then he realized the White-Haired Demon was holding a huge stinger and lunging toward his head with it!
Looking at his own body, he saw that the stinger on his tail and all six of his thick limbs had vanished from his armor, scattered around him and embedded in the ground!
The largest stinger was in the White-Haired Demon's hand, its gleaming tip aimed at his head. Scorpion tried to say something, but the stinger pierced his skull. Blood sprayed out and stopped in midair, ten centimeters in front of Su Mu.
After dealing with Scorpion, Su Mu looked toward Doctor Octopus. In the time it had taken him to kill Scorpion, she had already made it several hundred meters away.
At that distance, even a sniper rifle would have trouble hitting her. But for him, with his Six Eyes, it was effortless!
He tossed a coin, which then hovered in front of his index finger.
Black-and-red lightning erupted from his fingertip, accelerating the coin to several times the speed of sound!
Before friction with the air could melt it, the coin struck Doctor Octopus in the back.
Carrying immense kinetic energy and a sonic boom, the coin cut her body in half at the waist. It continued flying for several hundred meters before melting completely in midair!
Su Mu then took another step and appeared before Tombstone, who was crawling along the ground.
Tombstone looked up, trembling, and saw a shadow descend from above. His consciousness immediately faded into nothingness!
After crushing Tombstone's skull, Su Mu turned and gave Gwen a bright smile. With a single step, he appeared dozens of meters above the ground and walked through the air toward the armored car in the distance!
Inside the armored car, Kingpin sat with a dark expression.
He'd spent billions of dollars on a Mutant Inhibitor Device, yet it had only suppressed the White-Haired Demon for a few minutes!
Was the White-Haired Demon simply too powerful?
Or had he been swindled?
Damn it! Damn it!
Suddenly, he saw a white-haired young man appear in front of the armored car, smiling brightly at him.
The White-Haired Demon!
The next instant, the expensive armored car slammed into the suddenly appeared White-Haired Demon and came to an abrupt stop!
Under the force of its tremendous momentum, the front half of the car crumpled in an instant. The driver had time for only a single cry before he was crushed, his blood splattering across Kingpin's face.
Then Kingpin heard the piercing sound of metal tearing!
Crack!
With a forceful pull from the White-Haired Demon, the entire armored car split in two, leaving Kingpin exposed before the demon!
Kingpin immediately raised his pistol and fired at the White-Haired Demon, but the bullets and the driver's splattered blood all stopped in front of him, unable to go any farther!
Seeing this, Kingpin finally calmed down. In a low voice, he said,
"What I did before was wrong. I'm willing to give you everything I own in exchange for my life!"
But the White-Haired Demon didn't answer. He continued to approach slowly, each footstep seeming to land on Kingpin's heart and make it skip a beat!
Kingpin grew even more frantic and hurriedly added,
"If I die, all my assets will be frozen. You won't be able to get them!
We're talking about tens of billions of dollars!"
But the footsteps didn't stop. They halted only when the White-Haired Demon reached him. Then Kingpin saw a pale hand stop in front of him. Before he could say anything else, a terrifying pressure rolled off it and plunged him into eternal darkness!
Countless pieces of unidentified flesh and tissue floated around Su Mu's body before being hurled in all directions by a tremendous repulsive force, staining a vast area nearby red.
Su Mu grinned.
"If you had an Obelisk, an Infinity Gem, a Casket of Ancient Winters, a Spear of the Unconquered, an Eternal Flame, or an Eye of Agamotto, I might have interrogated you and let you live a little longer...
But no matter how much money a mortal has, it's useless to me!"
Then he took another step, vanished from where he stood, and flew at high speed toward the helicopter in the distance!
