Sentinel Robots

At the sight of this, all the generals fell silent. The thing they had least wanted to see had still happened—the White-Haired Demon had truly grown strong enough to withstand a nuclear bomb in such a short time!

If that was the case, what means did Earth still have that could harm him?

One of the generals suddenly thought of something and questioned Colonel Stryker:

"Colonel Stryker, why didn't the Mutant Inhibitor Device work on the White-Haired Demon?"

The other generals had noticed the same problem as well.

That was right. If the Mutant Inhibitor Device had truly worked, then even the White-Haired Demon would have been nothing more than an ordinary man after losing his mutant abilities. There was no way he could have survived a nuclear explosion.

At this moment, the White-Haired Demon could still use his mutant abilities. That could only mean the Mutant Inhibitor Device had failed to produce its intended effect!

All the generals turned questioning gazes on Colonel Stryker!

Faced with the questioning of so many generals, Colonel Stryker was silent for a moment before explaining:

"The medium used by this Mutant Inhibitor Device is sound waves. If sound is deliberately isolated, the device's effects will be greatly weakened. I assume the White-Haired Demon used this method to render the inhibitor ineffective.

"But please do not worry, gentlemen. We have a backup measure—a White-Haired Demon Suppression Device made from the White-Haired Demon's detailed information and designed specifically for him alone!

"This suppression device is dozens of times more effective than an ordinary Mutant Inhibitor Device!

"Furthermore, the new device operates through electromagnetic waves, which are nearly impossible to block!

"However, because this device has a limited range, we did not activate it immediately.

"But I have installed it on every Sentinel Robot. Not only do these Sentinel Robots carry the White-Haired Demon Suppression Device, they have also replicated the spatial attack ability designed to counter the White-Haired Demon. They will definitely kill him!"

Hearing Colonel Stryker's subsequent arrangements, the many generals looked at him with appreciation. At last, they relaxed and regained confidence in the plan to kill the White-Haired Demon.

Walking out from the center of the nuclear blast, Su Mu let out a belch. Absorbing all the energy from a nuclear explosion had nearly filled even him to the brim. The energy inside him was practically overflowing!

If he had not been able to continuously convert that energy into Energy Points and invest them into his character template, Su Mu simply could not have borne the full energy of such a high-yield nuclear explosion.

Even so, he felt an urge to erupt, unable to resist releasing all the energy within his body!

Just then, through the telescopic vision of the Six Eyes, Su Mu spotted dozens of strange-looking robots steadily approaching. The boiling power within him immediately found an outlet!

The moment those robots appeared, Su Mu recognized them as Sentinel Robots designed to exterminate Mutants.

Sentinel Robots could detect any form of mutant ability and instantly alter and modify themselves according to those abilities, gaining different types of mutant powers in order to counter their targets!

However, at this point in time, the Sentinel Robots before him should still be far from their final stage. They likely could not freely alter X-Genes to gain different mutant abilities at will.

Su Mu guessed that they could probably load only two or three mutant abilities at once, one of which would certainly be the spatial attack ability meant to counter him!

However, the spatial attacks that had once been able to break through his defenses—could they still do so after the Limitless Technique had been raised to Lv. 3?

The surveillance satellites in the sky transmitted footage of the Gobi Desert to the military base. The generals and Colonel Stryker watched the screen before them nervously. If this encirclement failed again, it would mean they no longer had any way to restrain the White-Haired Demon!

Suddenly, they saw the White-Haired Demon move. Rather than fleeing, he charged straight toward the dozens of robots.

This thrilled the generals and Colonel Stryker. What they feared most was the White-Haired Demon fleeing outright or attacking the Sentinel Robots from afar.

Both the White-Haired Demon Suppression Device and the spatial attacks had very limited ranges and were completely helpless against distant enemies. If the White-Haired Demon truly fled or hid far away to attack, the Sentinel Robots would have no way to deal with him!

Once the White-Haired Demon had fully entered the suppression device's effective range, Colonel Stryker immediately ordered:

"Activate the White-Haired Demon Suppression Device!"

At the same time, Su Mu heard the sound of electrical currents coming from the Sentinel Robots ahead. Then he felt the energy within his body stagnate for an instant before immediately recovering.

He instantly realized that this was the effect of the Mutant Inhibitor Device. Unfortunately, the Mutant Inhibitor Device was completely ineffective against him!

Using Technique Reversal: Azure, a massive gravitational force linked him to the distant space. With one step, he crossed a hundred meters and arrived before a Sentinel Robot.

He pressed his palm against the Sentinel Robot's head. A Black-Red Singularity erupted in his palm, and terrifying Repulsive Force continuously spread forward. The Sentinel Robot whose head Su Mu held was destroyed first, while the Black Singularity continued onward, destroying more than a dozen Sentinel Robots before finally stopping!

In the distant command room, silence descended once again. Stryker stared in disbelief at the White-Haired Demon, who had ignored the suppression device.

The White-Haired Demon had destroyed more than a dozen Sentinel Robots with a single strike. For the first time, Stryker doubted whether he could successfully hunt the White-Haired Demon...

Why had the White-Haired Demon completely ignored the suppression device? It had been a specialized suppression device designed specifically to counter him based on his ability data!

The researchers had even assured him that this suppression device could inhibit the White-Haired Demon for at least several hours!

But what about now?

It had not even lasted a second. It had no effect whatsoever!

Intense unease engulfed Colonel Stryker, and he could only keep comforting himself:

"It's fine, it's fine. We still have spatial attacks! The White-Haired Demon cannot withstand spatial attacks. He will definitely be killed by the Sentinel Robots!"

Under his command, the Sentinel Robots immediately unleashed spatial attacks at the White-Haired Demon. The countless attacks formed a dense fishing net, seeking to trap the White-Haired Demon within and give him no chance to escape!

Facing the many Space Blades rapidly flying toward him, Su Mu showed no sign of tension.

These attacks that had once threatened him could no longer affect him in the slightest!

The Space Blades' flight speed had been extremely fast to his former self, but after the Six Eyes had risen to Lv. 3, he could easily track them.

If Su Mu wished, he could easily evade them!

However, Su Mu did not do so. After dodging the vast majority of the Space Blades, he moved in front of one and attempted to use the Limitless Technique to block its attack!

The Space Blade that could easily pierce through the Lv. 1 Limitless Technique immediately slowed to a crawl after entering the Lv. 3 Limitless Technique's range, inching forward at a snail's pace!

Against the Lv. 3 Limitless Technique, Space Blades could no longer break through so easily!

Looking at the Space Blade crawling through the Limitless Technique, Su Mu reached a conclusion. It seemed that at Lv. 4, the Limitless Technique would be able to completely nullify spatial attacks!

After the test, Su Mu extended his index finger toward the Space Blade ahead.

An Azure Black Hole the size of a billiard ball and an equally sized Black-Red Singularity fused before him, forming Hollow Purple, a sphere radiating violet lightning. It then shot fiercely forward!

Hollow Purple instantly annihilated the Space Blade and continued flying ahead, annihilating every Sentinel Robot in its path until it vanished beyond the horizon!
