"They all call me the Nine-Tails. I am a Tailed Beast sealed away by humans to control my power and prevent me from bringing disaster upon the world." The Nine-Tails' voice carried a trace of helplessness and fury. "But I never imagined I would encounter a monster like you."
The spiritual pressure almost reminded the Nine-Tails of Hashirama and Uchiha Madara.
Naruto's heart stirred at those words. He became intensely curious about the Nine-Tails—not only about the creature itself, but also about the person who had sealed it inside him. He sensed that an unfathomable secret lay behind it all.
"Then... can your power be used?" Naruto's voice carried a probing note. He began to realize that the Nine-Tails was not merely a threat, but also a potentially enormous source of energy.
The Nine-Tails froze. It had never imagined anyone would think of its power in such a way. But it quickly understood Naruto's intentions.
"You... you want to use my power?" The Nine-Tails' voice was filled with disbelief and rage. "I am a Tailed Beast! My power is not something you can control!"
Yet Naruto merely smiled faintly. His spiritual power surged again, tightly wrapping around the Nine-Tails' consciousness. In that moment, he seemed to see the Nine-Tails' true use—like carrying around a mobile nuclear battery. As long as he got the Nine-Tails under control, he would have an endless supply of Chakra.
The Nine-Tails roared, "Brat! You want me to submit? Keep dreaming!"
Naruto smiled. "Lend me your power for now. Once I grow up and recover my strength, I'll set you free. How about that?"
Naruto's current Chakra was insufficient for high-level battles. One Azure had nearly drained all the Chakra in his body, not to mention Reverse Curing and Domain Expansion afterward.
In this dangerous world, who knew what other monsters might emerge? Obtaining the Power of the Nine-Tails would be the best possible insurance.
After hearing Naruto's promise, the Nine-Tails clicked its tongue. "Set me free? I hope you'll keep your word." With that, its consciousness faded away.
For now, Naruto could only suppress the Nine-Tails with spiritual power. Without the support of Chakra, he could not inflict any substantial harm upon it. Taming the Nine-Tails now was somewhat unrealistic.
Things were getting more and more interesting. For the first time since Gojo Satoru had reincarnated as Naruto, his soul trembled. He felt exhilarated.
While Naruto and the Nine-Tails conversed within his mind, the battle outside had not diminished in intensity at all.
Having broken free, Kakashi clashed with Momochi Zabuza once again, their figures weaving across the battlefield.
Momochi Zabuza swept his hands, and mist immediately spread through the air. A sharp Water Dragon Bullet came howling forth, shooting straight at Kakashi. Yet Kakashi did not panic in the slightest. He swiftly formed hand seals, and a Water Dragon Bullet appeared out of thin air as well, colliding with Momochi Zabuza's attack and canceling it out instantly.
"Kakashi, your Sharingan truly lives up to its reputation. It can even copy my ninjutsu!" Momochi Zabuza's tone held a trace of surprise, but far more anger. He launched another attack, this time a fierce Wind Release ninjutsu. Raging winds swept forward, bearing down on Kakashi.
Kakashi snorted coldly. His Sharingan flashed with icy light as he swiftly caught Momochi Zabuza's movements. He unleashed a Wind Release ninjutsu of his own, which collided with the other attack once more in a deafening explosion.
During this fierce clash, Sasuke also played a vital role. He had awakened his Sharingan, greatly enhancing his perception, and continuously provided Kakashi with precise support. He keenly caught every subtle movement Momochi Zabuza made and warned Kakashi in time, allowing Kakashi to react swiftly and defuse his opponent's attacks.
As time passed, the battle gradually reached its climax. Kakashi and Momochi Zabuza traded blows back and forth, neither able to gain the upper hand.
Finally, in one exchange, Kakashi seized an opening. He suddenly unleashed Chidori, and a dazzling bolt of lightning tore across the sky, shooting straight toward Momochi Zabuza.
However, at that critical moment, a figure abruptly stepped in front of Momochi Zabuza—it was the severely wounded Haku, his eyes firm and resolute. Chidori's radiance instantly pierced through his body, bursting into brilliant sparks. Haku forcibly endured the blow, using his own body to shield Momochi Zabuza from the fatal attack.
At that moment, everyone thought Momochi Zabuza would reveal at least a trace of grief over Haku's sacrifice.
Yet his next action completely overturned everyone's expectations.
Not only did Momochi Zabuza show no sign of mourning, a vicious glint flashed through his eyes instead. Using Haku's body as cover, he silently raised the Greatsword in his hand.
The massive blade carved a cruel arc through the air and came crashing toward Kakashi with destructive force, intending to cleave both Haku and Kakashi in half. This strike was not only a deadly threat to Kakashi, but also a cruel trampling of Haku's selfless devotion, treating him completely as an insignificant tool.
