Background / History

Xiao Wu was raised in the Star Dou Great Forest by her mother, Ah Rou, alongside Da Ming and Er Ming. Having reached one hundred thousand years of cultivation, she became bored with forest life, took human form, and later awakened her Soft Bone Rabbit martial soul at age six. After Ah Rou was killed while protecting her from human hunters, Xiao Wu initially swore to avenge her mother. 335

She entered Nuoding Academy, defeated Xiao Chenyu, and established herself as the academy's “Big Sister.” There she met Tang San; the two became childhood sweethearts. Xiao Wu later acknowledged that her attachment to Tang San caused her to set aside both her mother’s vengeance and her responsibilities to the Soul Beast Clan. 335 433

During the Soul Master Tournament, the Lovesick Heartbreak Red fell from Xiao Wu's arms and exposed her as a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast. Tang San defended her despite his crippling injuries, prompting Xiao Wu to initiate a soul sacrifice so that she could merge with him and save his life. 139
