Everyone's faces darkened when they heard Heris say that.
Only then did they realize why Heris could say something like that: he'd entered Class A, whose learning environment was even better than the real world's.
The teachers were responsible, all the students were eager to learn, the rooms were bright and clean, and the temperature and humidity were just right. In that kind of environment, getting twice as much study time was naturally a good thing.
But the problem was, this damn school could demote them!
Though it seemed like all they had to do was follow the rules, the older students had said the school held exams every week. Just thinking about how many students there had studied there for ten, or even dozens, of years made their hearts sink.
"Are you really that confident you can stay in Class A?" Paril asked, her face pale. Compared with Class B's learning environment, which was much like the real world, she had the most say as someone who'd been demoted to Class C. The writing on the board looked like a death message left at a crime scene; the notebooks seemed to be made of human skin, the school supplies appeared to be carved from white bones, and the deathly wails that echoed in her ears from time to time all made her shudder.
Though she'd managed to study diligently under the pressure of being chewed up, she felt that even a month in that environment would be enough to make her lose her mind.
At her words, a hint of hesitation crossed Heris's face, but he still replied firmly:
"We don't have any other choice, do we?"
