Somewhere on Blue Star...
Inside a boxing gym.
A tall young man with short black hair was relentlessly venting his energy on the punching bag in front of him!
"Thud! Thud! Thud..."
Each of the young man's punches landed like a cannonball, causing the bag to emit a series of muffled thuds.
"Huff! Huff! Huff!"
This boxing session lasted for over an hour, and only when the young man felt his arms going numb did he slowly stop, gasping for air.
"Workout done for today! Time to call it quits!"
The young man used the towel on his shoulder to gently wipe the sweat from his forehead, then casually swiped at the punching bag.
"BOOM!"
With a thunderous sound, the punching bag instantly burst apart, scattering its contents all over the floor...
"This..."
The young man stared at the shredded bag with wide eyes, unable to believe what he was seeing. He then looked down at his own hands; he could feel the surging power within his body and the immense vitality erupting from every single cell!
Seventeen years and six months later, on a godforsaken summer day, he had finally awakened!
The young man closed his eyes and smiled.
The young man's name was Jupiter Grayson, full name Jupiter Sebastian Grayson. He had a twin brother named Mark Grayson, full name Marcus Sebastian Grayson, who would one day be known as Invincible. He also had a father named Nolan Grayson, the strongest human on the planet, the Omni-Man who spent his days flying through the skies! And Jupiter himself was a transmigrator...
When Jupiter first realized as a child that he was a transmigrator and had ended up in the world of Invincible, he had been terrified. Upon learning that he was the twin brother of the protagonist, Mark, he had panicked even more. He knew this meant he couldn't just find some corner to rot away in; even if he didn't want to get involved in the mess, the mess would find him, because all the future conflicts were, at their core, just a soap opera between their race and their family.
Jupiter wasn't sure if he would ever awaken superpowers and become a great Viltrumite. From the moment he had memories and could move on his own, he had been constantly strengthening himself. Taekwondo, karate, boxing, kickboxing—Jupiter had dabbled in them all. It was as if he wanted to forge himself into a super-soldier like Deathstroke or Batman...
Although Jupiter knew his efforts were meaningless in the face of true powerhouses—someone could turn him into paste with a single supersonic collision—he still insisted on training every day. He kept training to help himself master his body, as if he were using it as his lifeline...
This was normal. Anyone who suddenly appeared in a strange world would frantically look for something to serve as their spiritual anchor!
But he didn't need that anymore. Jupiter was relieved; he had succeeded! He had done it! He had awakened!
"Hey! Jupiter, you bastard, are you trying to provoke me!?"
Just as Jupiter was closing his eyes, enjoying his moment of joy, a tall, blonde-haired young man approached him.
"Tom, have your injuries healed yet!?"
Jupiter looked at the man, his gaze soft—the way a human might look at a kitten or a puppy, detached and transcendent.
"Jupiter, don't think that just because you landed a club invitation, you can act arrogant in front of me!"
The blonde youth, Tom, was furious. He pointed a finger at Jupiter's nose, his eyes burning with rage.
Because of a cold last week, he had lost to Jupiter in the ring, leading the club to drop him and choose to sign with Jupiter, who was three years his junior. This made him furious. At his age, if he didn't get signed by a club, it meant his path as a professional boxer was effectively dead. He had bet almost everything on that match, which was being watched by the club's bigwigs, only to be defeated by this Asian youth, Jupiter, as if he were being toyed with. This left Tom angry and resentful. And just now, Jupiter had forcefully blown up the punching bag—no normal person could possibly do that. Tom believed Jupiter had used some trick to create the sound and effect just to mock him.
"As for that club tryout and the signing, you can have it!"
Jupiter certainly knew why Tom was angry. When people are on the verge of losing their minds, they interpret any movement as a provocation.
Jupiter didn't care. He no longer cared, because everything had changed just moments ago. He had punched the bag to pieces, and he could feel it—his body had completely transformed. He was no longer just a human; he was a Viltrumite!
"Are you mocking me!?"
"Asshole!"
"I don't need your pity!"
Tom looked at Jupiter with eyes full of rage. He couldn't accept being defeated by an opponent who then spoke to him in such a condescending tone. Everyone was human; what difference could there possibly be between one person and another!?
The more Tom thought about it, the angrier he became. His muscles bulged, and he threw a punch straight at Jupiter!
"Hey! Tom, what are you doing!?"
Several boxing enthusiasts watching from around the gym shouted to stop him as soon as they saw Tom throw the punch; they didn't want things to escalate.
"Thud!"
With a dull sound, Tom's fist landed squarely on Jupiter's cheek.
"Jupiter, are you okay!?"
Several boxing fans, seeing Jupiter being mercilessly struck, hurried over.
"Did you not eat today!? Tom."
"Put some effort into it, use all your strength!"
"Do you know why you lost to me?"
"Because your punches are soft and weak, like a sissy!"
Jupiter looked at Tom expressionlessly. His body didn't budge an inch; it was as if Tom's punch couldn't cause him even the slightest bit of harm.
"You motherf..."
After hearing Jupiter's words, the veins on Tom's forehead bulged instantly, and his muscles swelled. He used every ounce of his strength, swearing he would teach this arrogant, condescending guy a lesson.
"..."
Tom gritted his teeth and lunged forward with all his might, his fist slicing through the air with a gust of wind as he aimed for Jupiter's cheek.
"Jupiter!"
Several boxing enthusiasts shouted out, yet not a single one stepped forward to intervene. Some had mockery in their eyes, while others clearly just wanted to watch the spectacle. Although they all put on a show of trying to break up the fight, it was merely for appearances—a way to shirk responsibility should something truly go wrong.
What they were really hoping for was for Jupiter to fight back, as the club would never sign a boxer who couldn't control his temper and chose to throw punches outside the ring. Once Jupiter got into a brawl, the opportunity to sign with the club would open up, and then it would finally be their turn.
"Thud!"
After a soft impact, just as everyone expected Jupiter to be finished or to retaliate with force and get tangled up in a brawl with Tom, a scene that left them all stunned unfolded.
Jupiter, facing Tom's fist, had simply extended a single finger.
