Perfect Jupiter

Jupiter cleaned himself up, went out and ate five beef burgers, then realized it was fucking Wednesday.

"Well, shit..."

Jupiter checked the time on his wristwatch. Clearly, he was already half an hour late.

Since he was already late, Jupiter simply decided not to go to class.

Yeah, if he did not even attend class, how could it count as being late...

Jupiter changed into his uniform and wandered aimlessly around the city...

Then, before the second period began, he took advantage of the break to stroll into the classroom as if nothing had happened, pretending he had not been late at all.

However, once the somewhat balding teacher entered the room and began class, Jupiter regretted coming. He should not have shown up today.

Jupiter yawned through the teacher's tedious lesson, then left the classroom the instant the bell rang.

The balding teacher frowned as he watched Jupiter leave.

"Is my class really that boring?"

Jupiter brought back three full trays of food at once and wolfed it down. For someone built like him, eating the portions of three to five people in one sitting was completely normal. More importantly, he could not only eat—he could fight.

"Is anyone sitting here? Can we join you?"

Just as Jupiter was stuffing his face, he heard someone calling him. He looked up.

An attractive, tall girl with orange-pink hair and a blonde delinquent girl with a nose ring sat down across from him.

"Of course."

Jupiter looked at Eve and the unknown delinquent girl, who had already taken their seats, and gave a slight nod.

"Jupiter, I was really worried about you. You did not come this morning either, and yesterday..."

Eve looked somewhat emotional as she spoke, but then seemed to remember something and glanced at the blonde girl beside her.

"Okay, okay."

"I know I'm interrupting you two. Go on, I'll leave first."

Jupiter looked at Eve and decided to move killing Rex higher up on his schedule. Besides, the Global Guardians' funeral was about to be held...

Jupiter decided to use the Global Guardians' funeral as an opportunity to dig a hole and bury Rex too. Burying seven people was a burial, and burying eight was still a burial. This would even save them another funeral. God, Rex was getting off easy, being buried alongside great heroes like the Global Guardians...

Then he could stand before Rex's grave and tell him the proper way to get Eve going. Ahem, just kidding. He was Ancestor Person, not some pervert. He merely wanted to pay his respects at Rex's grave. What bad intentions could Jupiter possibly have?

"Just now, I saw on the news that the moon underwent a drastic change and only half of it remains. Astronomical experts said it was a perfectly normal celestial phenomenon. Eve kept talking, seemingly worried about humanity's future.

Jupiter did not say anything. He could not exactly tell Eve that the Global Guardians had disappeared because they were all dead. Yes, he had killed them!

Omni-Man had not been active recently because he was injured and recovering in the hospital. Yes, Jupiter had beaten him up.

And the moon had not been destroyed by some unknown entity, nor was it some normal celestial phenomenon as those so-called experts claimed. He had accidentally blown it up this morning because he had not controlled his strength properly.

"I have a feeling Omni-Man will soon return to the skies and continue protecting Blue Star from aliens."

"As for the moon..."

"At least werewolves won't transform because of a full moon anymore, right? That's a good thing!"

Jupiter tried to put a positive spin on things.

"Haha..."

The moment Eve heard Jupiter mention werewolves no longer transforming during full moons, she burst into laughter.

"I hope so!"

Eve let out a soft breath. After talking with Jupiter for a while, she felt much better, as though all her pent-up emotions had been swept away.

"Hehe..."

Jupiter merely smiled softly and continued eating.

"Jupiter, are you going to the Viltrumite Youth Group headquarters today?!"

Watching Jupiter continue to eat, Eve asked the question almost unconsciously. The moment she said it, she regretted it. She did not know why she had asked him that, yet she also hoped he would agree.

"Sure."

Jupiter raised an eyebrow and nodded. He did not particularly care, since he had nothing else to do. More importantly, going to the Viltrumite Youth Group meant he might run into loudmouthed Rex, which would give him a chance to take the guy out.

"Okay, then I'll see you after school."

Eve waved at Jupiter, then carried her food over to sit beside the blonde delinquent at the neighboring table.

"Back already, the big star's rumored girlfriend?"

The blonde delinquent teased Eve.

Eve sounded helpless at the teasing.

"Oh, come on. Do you know how many people saw you two leaving together after school yesterday?"

"Not bad! I never noticed before. I really don't know when you managed to win Jupiter over."

The blonde delinquent rested her chin in both hands and looked at Eve curiously.

"You're really ridiculous..."

Eve did not know how to explain herself to the blonde delinquent, so she could only lower her head and silently eat.

"You're the ridiculous one. Do you know how many bitches in this school have their eyes on the spot beside Jupiter?"

"Jupiter is the high school football team's all-star player, a prodigy even Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady thinks highly of..."

The blonde delinquent kept praising Jupiter. There was certainly plenty of exaggeration in her words, but it also proved Jupiter's standing among the students.

"Is Jupiter really that outstanding?"

Eve looked shocked. She had never paid much attention to things happening at school, so she had not known Jupiter was such a legendary figure there. And she had heard from Mark that he and Jupiter had only recently awakened their powers, which meant Jupiter had earned his current status entirely through his own abilities.

"Outstanding? He's tall, handsome, from a good family, and has a bright future. He's so perfect, he hardly seems human."

The blonde delinquent cupped her cheeks and watched Jupiter eat, looking somewhat entranced.

"..."

Eve did not refute her, because honestly, it was all true.

"..."

Jupiter, who had been eating with his head down, seemed to sense Eve and the blonde girl's gazes. He turned toward them and flashed a sunny smile.

At that moment, Jupiter did not care in the slightest about Eve's or the blonde delinquent's opinions. As he ate, he used his system cheat to draw worlds in his mind, and in the time it took him to wolf down his food, he had already found the world best suited for him...
