The areas the three had passed through along the way had all been deserted, giving them an utterly desolate feeling. But then, after rounding a mountain pass, they suddenly came upon a dreamlike village. The scene before them looked just like a castle inhabited by elves in a legend, and the three couldn't help but stare in amazement.
Clearly, the village was inhabited by the Underground Race. The three didn't rush in recklessly. Instead, they climbed to a higher vantage point and observed it carefully.
After taking a closer look, they were even more astonished. What they had seen after rounding the mountain pass was only the tip of the iceberg.
Only when they reached higher ground did they see the full extent of this fairytale-like world. It was as large as a township in the Surface World, with buildings stretching for twenty or thirty miles, shrouded in a faint mist. The whole village was bathed in a soft blue hue, like a scene from a fairytale.
If Jiang Yue hadn't seen living creatures moving about near the village entrance, he might have thought the place was nothing but an illusion.
But then Jiang Yue noticed something strange.
After his Borrowed Vision Skill had leveled up, he could now extend his vision for twenty or thirty kilometers. He had kept the skill active along the way, yet hadn't detected a single viewpoint inside this village.
Could the creatures living in the village be unreal?
But he had clearly seen them moving about just now. And Jiang Yue was certain they weren't ordinary creatures of the underground. They were definitely intelligent beings.
Could this mysterious village have some kind of secret technique that blocked his Borrowed Vision Skill?
Or perhaps the creatures walking around inside didn't have viewpoints like humans did?
