Jiang Yue is a descendant of the Jiang family of Panshi Ridge. His father is Jiang Qiao, while his grandfather Jiang Yunhe was locally known as “Old Man Yunhe,” an “Old Immortal” reputed to exorcise evil spirits and ghosts. These stories cause many outsiders to associate Jiang Yue’s unusual knowledge and talents with his family lineage 124.

At the start of the bizarre era, Jiang Yue is a student at Yangfan Middle School living with his younger brother San Gou.
