Everything happening outside was crystal clear to Jiang Yue and the others through the borrowed-vision skill. They could see every detail, especially the Lizardmen being surrounded by the guards. San Gou was even more excited than the rest.
"Second Brother, does this count as using someone else to do our dirty work?" San Gou asked excitedly, as if he'd just realized something.
Jiang Yue smiled without answering. Jiang Qiao chuckled. "Disguising yourselves as Lizardmen could count as framing them. Deliberately attacking the Mushroom People and making them sound the alarm could be called stirring up the hornet's nest. And drawing the manor guards in to surround the Lizardmen—that's using someone else to do your dirty work. Your plan used at least three tricks, Second Brother."
San Gou scratched his head and sighed. "No wonder Second Brother's always coming up with clever schemes. If it were me, I'd just fight my way through. We'd have to deal with the Lizardmen and Mushroom People working together, our Mushroom People disguises would probably be exposed, and we'd alert the manor guards too. The whole thing would turn into a mess."
There was no doubt that San Gou was thoroughly impressed with his second brother. With Second Brother's plan and his astonishing skills backing it up, they'd only needed to put on a little act and kill one Mushroom Person to clear the three of them of suspicion. They'd also left both factions targeting them—the Lizardmen and the Mushroom People—in a bind, secretly taking a heavy loss.
Most importantly, after suffering such a loss, neither side could complain about it openly. They could only swallow their anger. It was an infuriating predicament.
As for that group of Mushroom People, Jiang Yue didn't feel it was much of a loss even though they'd only killed
