Returning to Five Elements Academy
The retaliatory actions between Taiyi Academy and Titan Academy erupted once again, at a speed beyond anything the Underground World could have imagined.
This time, however, the two academies weren't just hurting each other. They were also desperately pleading their cases in the court of public opinion, accusing the other side of being utterly depraved. At such a critical moment, they were stirring up internal strife and launching ambushes.
Taiyi Academy blamed Titan Academy for the entire series of attacks.
Titan Academy, meanwhile, accused Taiyi Academy of slandering it and denied everything. It turned the accusation around, calling Taiyi Academy's ambush on its team an act of provocation and an unwise move that would spark civil war. Titan Academy wouldn't let them get away with it and would retaliate in kind, and so on.
This time, Titan Academy's tone was less aggressive. Instead, it presented itself as the victim, sounding both innocent and aggrieved, as though Taiyi Academy really had bullied it. It also claimed that Taiyi Academy was simply raging in impotent frustration: unable to find its real enemy, it was taking its anger out on Titan Academy.
Taiyi Academy, of course, wasn't going to let Titan Academy get away with it. It produced a series of pieces of evidence.
Titan Academy soon denied them all. It was especially vehement about the Asura Grand Scholar, accusing Taiyi Academy of fabricating lies and making baseless accusations. The Asura Grand Scholar hadn't even been in the Underground World; he had left more than ten days ago.
As for the Sky Swallowing Beast and the other evidence, Titan Academy refused to acknowledge any of it. It claimed that among the Ten Golden Clans, there were bound to be some underachieving young scions who had drifted through Jianghu,
