Kill the Body, Break the Spirit First
Jiang Ling had held the position of Chief Grand Scholar at Titan Academy for over a thousand years. It wasn't just because of the noble bloodline of the Titan Race, but also because of his formidable strength and keen grasp of the situation.
When that feeling in his heart refused to go away, he realized something was wrong. This oppressive feeling might not be because two of Tian Gun Mountain's subordinates had died.
This was bad!
The instant Jiang Ling reacted, the rocky slope they had just reached suddenly began to shake violently. The boulders scattered across it seemed to have been roused by some stimulus and began dancing wildly. As they surged, countless trenches and stone walls appeared across the ground, some rising rapidly, others sinking just as fast.
The fifteen of them were completely divided by the stone formation. Their group, whose members had originally been no more than a hundred meters apart, was split into nearly ten separate areas as the rocks boiled around them.
And the stone formation kept forcing them farther apart.
Jiang Ling saw the boulders whirling all around them and realized that his group had been ambushed. He immediately shouted, "Keep your composure! These are just parlor tricks. What is there to fear?"
As befitted a top figure of the Titan Race, Jiang Ling thrust both hands down with force. The boulders flying toward him were immediately suppressed by a powerful force and dropped to the ground.
Then Jiang Ling swept his arms outward. A powerful blast of Titan astral energy surged out, attempting to sweep away the stone walls rising around them and level the barriers dividing his group.
But while he was quick to react, the people controlling the stone formation were no slower.
