Borrowing Strength to Overcome Strength

As they stood there in astonishment, Jiang Yue seemed to have a precise sense of their location and locked onto them. The teaching building was seven or eight stories tall, but Jiang Yue vaulted into the air in a single bound, kicked off the building at the height of the fourth floor, and landed on the roof.

Tong Feifei rushed forward first. "Brother Yue, I knew you wouldn't leave your brothers behind."

Han Jingjing pouted. Off to the side, she looked displeased, deliberately keeping a stiff expression and making no move to greet him.

Jiang Yue glanced around. Seeing that they were all unharmed, he was overjoyed. "You're all okay. Thank goodness. What's the situation?"

Tong Di wasted no time and gave him a brief rundown. He also led Jiang Yue to the other side to look toward the dormitory building behind them.

"So there's an Ice Attribute skeleton commander among the White Bones Monster army? And a giant's been spotted behind the dormitory building?"

"Right. They're trapped between the two sides now, with nowhere to run."

Jiang Yue sighed. "Feifei, do you understand now why the mess at Yangfan Middle School is so hard to manage?"

Tong Di said glumly, "Maybe I'm not capable enough, or don't have enough authority? If I had your abilities and influence, Brother Yue, they definitely wouldn't dare..."

"This isn't about ability or authority," Jiang Yue interrupted. "When it comes down to it, the survivors don't have any emotional bonds with one another. It's easy enough to talk about unity when things are going well. But as soon as they're facing adversity or desperation, everyone's selfish thoughts get magnified without limit."

"Ah, I was too naive. But, Brother Yue, after spending all this time with them, I've realized most of them aren't bad people.
