Hearing Chen Tiezhu's words, Chen Lin looked at the woman again.
But he felt no sense of familiarity. Before he could take a closer look, she had rounded a corner and vanished from sight.
"What do you mean by familiar? Have you seen her somewhere before?"
Chen Lin questioned him while searching his memory.
In the end, he was certain he had never seen this green-haired woman anywhere.
Innate life-forms were few and far between within the Boundary River, let alone ones with green hair. If he had seen her, there was no way he would have forgotten.
"I don't know either. She just feels a little familiar."
Chen Tiezhu could not explain it.
That left Chen Lin wondering.
The Sun-Swallowing Earthworm was a primeval exotic species that could even break through the Life Ferry's rules. Its perceptions were unlikely to be wrong.
Yet since having his intelligence reawakened and binding himself to Chen Lin, he had rarely been awake. He had not encountered a single innate life-form, either. How could she feel familiar?
"Could you have met her aboard the Life Ferry?"
A possibility occurred to Chen Lin.
"I can't remember either. If you want to know, Dad, you could catch up and ask her."
"Let's forget it."
Chen Lin stopped pursuing the matter.
He had only just arrived in the Outer Star Domain and knew nothing about it. Better one less complication than one more.
"Please take a seat and examine these, sir."
The woman in court robes accepted a tray from a maid and invited Chen Lin to sit in an ornate chair.
Then she presented three exquisite boxes one by one.
The first box contained an egg-sized red gemstone. Its exterior was unremarkable, but countless tiny characters flickered inside it, forming the shape of a flame.
