Chen Lin continued asking as he browsed the shelves and counters.
The Old Shopkeeper shook his head again. "There's no new stock in those categories either. You'll have to wait a little longer."
Then, as though he had remembered something, he said, "Our employer has joined forces with several trading firms to hold a medium-sized trading convention in the next few days. Would you be interested, Fellow Daoist Chen?"
"A trading convention? Where will it be held?"
Chen Lin was tempted.
The employer behind the All Things Pavilion was no ordinary figure. The trading firms he had contacted were sure to be large ones, so there was a strong chance of treasures appearing.
Even if Chen Lin could not obtain the texts and pill formulas he wanted, trading for one or two life-saving items would still be worthwhile.
"In Trading Hall No. 6, under the City Lord Manor's jurisdiction."
Chen Lin nodded at that.
"All right, give me an invitation letter. I'll go take a look when the time comes."
Although Central City was strictly regulated, everything was properly organized, and its facilities were comprehensive. These official trading halls, for instance, were something he had never seen in other cities, yet there were many here. They were rented out specifically to trading firms and individuals, with the City Guard handling security to ensure no one snatched any treasures.
Of course, the rent was not cheap either.
After obtaining the invitation letter, Chen Lin continued browsing the market. This was one of the markets closest to his immortal cave, and he had already explored nearly all of it. After looking around a little longer, he returned to his immortal cave.
