The One Returning Home
Late at night, Red Light Street was still brilliantly lit, with a steady stream of passersby and endless noise.
Only inside one shop, loud shouts and bashful moans continued without pause...
Sunlight shone upon the earth. There were already few pedestrians on Red Light Street, and everything was quiet.
"Ahhh..."
A piercing howl shattered the silence.
Dai Weisi opened his eyes and saw the hulking man—Ru Hua—lying opposite him.
He immediately screamed, kicked the person off the bed, and sat up. Looking at the shredded clothes scattered across the floor, the damp blanket, and the peculiar smell lingering in the air...
As a "professional," how could he not understand what had happened?
"Who? Who are you?" His eyes burned with fury as he loudly questioned Ru Hua!
"My lord, what's wrong with you? Don't scare me. Last night, you were calling me your little sweetheart! You can't deny me after putting your pants back on!" Ru Hua said pitifully.
Hearing this, Dai Weisi was overcome with rage and felt dizzy. He recalled being beaten senseless while trapped in a sack yesterday. That person seemed to be called... San.
He immediately demanded to know who had brought him here!
"It was your sworn brother—Tang San."
"Ahhh! Tang San!" Dai Weisi roared. He wanted to tear Tang San into ten thousand pieces, throw him into Black Kiln and the Tenement Building, and have a dozen burly men toy with him!
Gradually, his roar turned into sobs, and two streams of tears ran down Dai Weisi's face.
He had just discovered that Little Dai Weisi was lying limp on the bed. It would not rise, nor did it react in the slightest. His hatred for Tang San deepened even further...
Meanwhile, Liu Yanyang, the culprit behind it all, had already boarded a carriage and left Star Luo City.
"Not bad, little monster! You haven't even been at the Great Soul Arena for a month, yet you've caused quite a stir!"
"Sigh, I've been drawing too much attention lately. That makes it easy for others to target me. I'd better return to the Breaking Clan estate and cultivate properly!" Liu Yanyang sighed.
Half a year later...
In the small courtyard, Liu Yanyang finished his final set of basic spear forms, wiped the sweat from his face, poured himself a cup of tea, and slowly sipped it.
At that moment, Yang Wudi entered the courtyard, walked straight over, and sat in the chair beside Liu Yanyang. He took a small sip of tea, then stared at Liu Yanyang.
"Brat, do you want a wife?"
"Pfft!" Liu Yanyang sprayed tea all over Yang Wudi's face and began coughing nonstop. After finally catching his breath, he saw Yang Wudi's slightly darkened expression.
"Old Yang, did your pill refining fail recently, or has life not been going well? Did that mess with your head and make you start acting crazy?"
Yang Wudi wiped the tea from his face and said irritably.
"I was kindly thinking of you, yet you don't appreciate it!"
"In one month, it will be time for the Single Attribute Four Great Clans to gather. I need to prepare to leave for Heaven Dou City."
"Do you want to come along and take a look? I can introduce you to my other good brothers while we're at it."
Hearing that it was a gathering of the Single Attribute Four Great Clans, Liu Yanyang perked up.
After being dealt a heavy blow by Spirit Hall, the four great clans had suffered severe losses. Still, together, they remained a considerable force.
When he formed his own faction in the future, the four clans would be people he had to win over.
However, the Strength Clan gave Liu Yanyang a headache.
The biggest issue was that old fellow Tai Tan. Not everyone in the Strength Clan was like him; Liu Yanyang had to find a way to separate Tai Tan from the Strength Clan.
It seemed he could not attend the gathering. He and Tai Tan were not the same kind of people, so there was no need to get acquainted. Otherwise, it might cause even more trouble.
In the future, he would also need to find a way to drive a wedge between the clan leaders of the other three clans and Tai Tan. Once their relationship grew distant, he would have no qualms about making a move!
"Old Yang, I won't be going. I'll stay at the estate..." Liu Yanyang thought of something else and added.
"I plan to make a trip to Skywater City. I'll go after the gathering of the four clans!"
Seeing the sadness in Liu Yanyang's eyes, Yang Wudi was curious, but he did not say anything.
During the two years Liu Yanyang had been in the Breaking Clan, he had often seen the little monster gazing alone at the bright moon after every training session.
Having lived for so many years, he understood the emotions revealed in that expression. But if Liu Yanyang would not speak of them, there was nothing he could do to comfort the little monster.
Then he patted Liu Yanyang on the shoulder. "Will it be too dangerous for you to go alone? Do you want me to find someone to escort you?"
"No need. I have Cheng Ying. As long as a Titled Douluo doesn't appear, basically no one can catch me. Don't worry." Liu Yanyang smiled.
Yang Wudi nodded and said nothing more.
The next day, early morning, under Yang Wudi's watchful gaze, Liu Yanyang boarded the carriage bound for Skywater City.
Time passed in the blink of an eye. Two months later, a carriage stopped outside Skywater City's gates. After getting off, Liu Yanyang looked at Skywater City.
It was still just as he remembered, yet people and things had changed beyond recognition!
He went alone to the Ice Crystal Forest outside the city, his heart heavy with grief. He let out a sorrowful sigh.
When he arrived at his parents' final resting place, he saw a woman in blue standing there. Liu Yanyang felt somewhat puzzled and walked closer.
The sound of a branch snapping beneath his foot startled the woman, and she immediately turned around.
Before her stood a boy around 1.7 meters tall, dressed in a black robe, with handsome features, sword-like brows, and bright, starry eyes.
The woman's brows furrowed slightly. Yet when she saw the familiar face, her already red and swollen eyes suddenly overflowed with tears.
Her body trembled faintly as she staggered toward Liu Yanyang. Placing both hands on his shoulders, she choked out, "Are you... Xiao Yang?"
"And you are?" Liu Yanyang asked in confusion.
At his reply, the woman pulled Liu Yanyang straight into her embrace. Overcome with emotion, she wept, "Child, I'm your Aunt Shui. Why did you leave without saying goodbye all those years ago? Do you know how worried I was about you?"
"If something had happened to you, what was I supposed to do? How could I ever face your mother?"
Liu Yanyang's spirits sank, and his eyes reddened slightly. All he could do was keep patting Shui Xinrou's back, soothing her emotions.
After a short while, Shui Xinrou finally calmed down and looked at Liu Yanyang, who resembled her close friend by about thirty percent.
There were too many things she wanted to say, but she forced them all down.
"Go pay your respects to your parents."
Liu Yanyang nodded. He walked to the graves, knelt on both knees, and gazed at the tombstones.
"Father, Mother, your son has settled down now. You don't need to worry about me. I'm doing very well."
"I met a very interesting old man. If there's a chance, I'll let you meet him too. Aunt Shui treats me very well and cares about me deeply."
"I won't forget your instructions. I won't let hatred cloud my eyes or become an obstacle on my path to becoming stronger."
After saying that, Liu Yanyang bowed three times before rising to his feet.
