"Take them down, now!!"
Scarface's barked order made the soldiers closing in around us move faster. I was sure Ning Jing had told him something.
"Scarface... Ning Jing, back then..."
"Shut up! Move in! Take them down!"
I didn't know what Ning Jing had told him, but if it had anything to do with me, it would eventually lead back to Ning Jing's past.
If my guess was right... Ning Jing had probably told him!
Ning Jing, oh, Ning Jing! You silly girl. What am I supposed to do with you? What about your peaceful life, and the child in your belly? Did you not care about any of that for my sake?
I gritted my teeth and looked at Scarface.
Then I glanced around at the soldiers. Hundreds of them, hundreds of gun barrels aimed at us. Unless I activated the virus, we had no chance in a straight fight. We'd be killed for sure.
Of course, there was another way.
I looked at Scarface...
"Scarface! Ning Jing, she..."
I deliberately paused. Sure enough, Scarface immediately tensed as he stared at me, then roared, "Surround—"
His shout put me somewhat at ease. At least... he didn't intend to let Ning Jing tell anyone what had happened. Though part of it was probably to save face, it should be the better outcome for Ning Jing!
Of course, that wasn't my only aim. The moment Scarface roared, I shouted too!
"Wild Wolf Mercenary Team! Everyone, listen to my command! Fall back and jump down!!!"
As soon as I finished, I spun around and grabbed Wild Wolf by the collar.
"Wild Wolf, follow me!!"
I turned and charged straight toward the pit behind us. At that moment, Scarface's order had only just finished.
"Surround them!!"
Scarface had barely shouted before the ten
