But... with the New Human Organization's help, there shouldn't be any problem.
Forget it. None of this has anything to do with me anymore. If the Zombies leave me alone, I can't be bothered to deal with them.
I didn't know when the Zombies had started appearing, but... I guessed it must have been around midnight, at about twelve. Otherwise, they wouldn't have made it in time for today's evacuation.
The fact that they had gathered like this was proof enough that there had to be an intelligent Zombie among them.
Watching the tide of Zombies outside, I saw them stretch as far as the eye could see. They never seemed to tire; they simply marched onward in silence.
I carefully crouched by the window, watching the Zombies pass outside. Among their ranks were other kinds of mutants, too. Every so often, I saw
a few Dark Nights, then a few Bee Stings, and even Titans. In short, there were so many Zombies that they were impossible to count.
They'd been marching nonstop for two hours, ever since I got up at five.
And far behind them, countless more Zombies kept moving forward. The farther back I looked, the more Mutant Monsters I saw: Geckos, toads, and
even human-shaped locusts. They were all mutated humans, not evolved insects.
They'd marched for two hours without a break. That meant tens of thousands had passed by here alone, right?
The streets were already packed. The area in front of and behind the house was full, and even the distant forest was thick with figures. There had to be tens of thousands
at a glance, not to mention the ones who'd passed by nonstop for two hours.
There might even be several more hours' worth behind them.
Just how many Zombies were there?
