A Tough Guy
With a thunderous crash, the big lug swung his fist straight down at me. His massive arm came crashing down with unstoppable force and a howling gale.
Dust billowed through the passage. Everyone instinctively covered their ears in the narrow space, afraid the echo would rupture their eardrums.
I paid little attention to anything else. Once his arms swelled up, his strength had clearly multiplied several times over.
By that reckoning, he had to be capable of exerting at least several dozen tons of force. If he went all out, I thought he could probably flip a heavy tank.
Faced with strength like that, I had to get serious. If I held back, this big oaf might actually beat me up.
Getting caught off guard by someone I'd underestimated wasn't my style.
Even a lion went all out against a rabbit. What reason did I have to look down on him?
"Tuanzi!"
I called out silently. Black tissue seeped rapidly from my body and spread over my skin and clothes.
Of course, I wasn't going to turn into Venom. That would look awful.
Black armor gleaming with a metallic sheen burst through the dust. A pair of black wings blocked most of the passage, while the armor along my arm formed sharp, triangular ridges.
Within the dust, that slender arm held up his enormous fist.
"Huh!?"
Hu Lai's eyes widened. No one in the Jingzhou Survivor Base had ever dared take one of his punches head-on. He had thought this blow would flatten the person in front of him.
But he hadn't expected this. None of them had!
