After finishing his training the next morning, Gabriel arrived at the dock and could hardly believe that the three massive ships before him were the same three ordinary pirate ships from before.

"They're huge!"

Though the previous three ships had been pirate ships, they had merely been custom-built, only several times larger than ordinary small fishing boats.

But the three ships before him were completely different. They had grown several times larger than their original size and were now even bigger than the Black Pearl.

"Is this even reasonable? My subordinates' ships are going to be bigger than mine, and I'm the captain?"

Gabriel was immediately displeased.

Looking at them now, his Black Pearl no longer seemed quite as appealing.

Adam merely spread his hands.

"How large the Black Pearl becomes depends on how much magic power you invest to maintain it. If you insist on keeping it at minimum energy consumption, don't complain about the size of your ride or its special abilities."

"Mm, fine..."

Gabriel sighed at that.

Stop scolding me, stop scolding me. He was already continuing his research into magic that could permanently increase his maximum magic power.

But then Gabriel noticed the hidden implication in Adam's words.

"Wait, these ships have special abilities too?"

"Of course... Let's look at the Queen Anne's Revenge first."

Adam led Gabriel over to the first ship.

"I figured you'd introduce this one first."

Gabriel nodded, then looked toward the other two ships beside it.

"I couldn't see clearly from far away just now, but why do these two ships look so battered when they've only just been completed?"

"There's a reason they look battered... Let's look at this one first."

Adam pointed at the Queen Anne's Revenge ahead of them.
