Adam processed the shock of the information Clow Reed's account had brought him.
The first piece of information was still relatively easy for him to accept. After all, he had encountered and considered similar possibilities before.
Based on his experiences so far, Clow Reed was indeed quite powerful. Even in the central region of the Sea of Worlds, he would not simply fade into obscurity.
But among the worlds Adam knew of, there was only one Clow Reed. Clearly, he had not been projected into countless worlds.
Adam had once believed that Clow Reed had taken the magical path from all to one, and simply had some special reason for not being projected. Now, it seemed that he had not taken either of those paths at all.
There was nothing inherently wrong with that. Adam had long known there were other paths besides those two. But when combined with the second piece of information, the conclusion was somewhat horrifying.

Hearing that utterly insincere form of address and seeing Adam subtly lean back, the veins at Clow Reed's temple throbbed.
"You're overthinking it. Since those concepts have created the current situation with the Sea of Worlds, it is obvious that the concepts and principles of both sides have no possibility of naturally communicating or being compatible."
"If someone were truly influenced by the other side's power system, then even if they looked no different on the outside, their inner nature would be completely unlike anything normal in the Sea of Worlds. Those things are strictly forbidden by the few at the center of the Sea of Worlds from crossing the boundary."
Adam sighed
