Adam's Path

Faced with Clow Reed's little combo of denial and distancing himself from the matter, Adam said nothing and merely stared at him.

"Fine, I'll stop teasing you."

Clow Reed waved a hand, somewhat bored.

"Tell me the specifics. To get yourself into a situation where you might be dealt with isn't something you can casually manage without knowing what you're doing."

Feeling a little guilty, Adam told Clow Reed about the Da Qian Record.

As for how he knew about the Da Qian Record... he actually wanted to ask how he had come from his previous life to this one.

But Clow Reed did not press further. After hearing Adam's account, he simply shook his head.

"You're overthinking it. It's just a coincidence in names. The essence of what's in that book is still a curse from our side."

Adam let out a sigh of relief, and so did Clow Reed. He had genuinely been afraid Adam was about to spring something huge on him.

Clow Reed rubbed his forehead with the heel of his palm, finally bringing the derailed topic back on track.
