Tingen City and the Tarot Club

Klein is a transmigrator who awakens in a dangerous unfamiliar world and becomes a Nighthawks clerical worker. Burdened by unclear memories, enemies he cannot identify, and the danger of his false divine identity, he describes his situation as walking a tightrope simply to survive 1143.

Using Source Castle, Klein establishes the Tarot Club under the persona of Mister Fool. He recruits Audrey Hall as Miss Justice and Alger Wilson as Mister Hanged Man, then later brings Noah in as Mister Emperor. Maintaining the appearance of a powerful hidden existence rapidly exhausts him, particularly when Noah's knowledge exposes the gaps in his facade 1154 1156 1157.

Klein seeks intelligence on an impending Evil God descent in Tingen City. Noah reveals that the Aurora Society intends to use the city as the site for the True Creator's descendant, a ritual that would endanger everyone there 1161. Faced with Ince Zangwill's Sequence One-based Sealed Artifact, Klein realizes he is interfering with threats far beyond his own rank 1162.

The Café and Backlund

Klein's need for money repeatedly drives his decisions. In Backlund, he accepts employment at the Café as a “lucky cat” mascot: the Cow Cat's Bell grants daily good luck but transforms him into a black cat for at least an hour 1185.
