Background

Tang Hao lived in concealment near Holy Spirit Village, where he regularly visited a blue-silver plant with golden veins that he addressed as Ah Yin. Before leaving to see Tang San, he promised her that he would return 60.

He later told Xiao Wu that Ah Yin had died after Spirit Hall's former Pope, Qian Xunji, and several Titled Douluo hunted them. At the time, Tang Hao had only reached the peak of Rank 89 and had not yet acquired his ninth Soul Ring 124.

Tang Hao was once a genius of the Clear Sky Sect. The sect's inherited right-arm and left-leg Soul Bones had been bestowed upon him as its next prospective leader, though he was eventually expelled from the sect 197.

Appearance

Tang Hao is a weather-beaten, slovenly middle-aged man whose unkempt appearance contrasts sharply with the crushing presence he displays in battle 121.

Personality

Tang Hao is fiercely protective of Tang San. The theft of Tang San's External Soul Bone drives him to attack Spirit Hall directly, confront Ye Hao repeatedly, and pressure Dugu Bo into guarding his son 78 123.

His paternal devotion is intertwined with guilt. He admits to Tang San that he has failed him as a father, while Tang Yuehua later condemns him for failing to protect Tang San's External Soul Bone 145 172.

Tang Hao is impulsive, wrathful, and prone to fixation. His rage magnifies his combat power, but his obsession with Ye Ritian ultimately leaves him mentally unstable and incapacitated after a failed campaign of revenge 80 82.

Major Arcs

External Soul Bone Revenge

After learning that Tang San's External Soul Bone had been stolen, Tang Hao arrived at Shrek Academy and destroyed half of Back Mountain in rage. He then departed with Grandmaster to discuss Tang San's condition 64.

Believing Ye Ritian to be in Spirit Hall, Tang Hao launched a direct assault on Spirit City. He fought four Titled Douluo simultaneously, but Qian Daoliu intervened and forced him to retreat after Tang Hao used the Great Sumeru Hammer 78 80 81.

Upon returning to Holy Spirit Village, Tang Hao discovered that Ah Yin's Blue Silver Emperor true body had vanished, along with the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone 81.

Conflict with Ye Hao

Tang Hao later attempted to rescue Tang San and kill Ye Ritian, but Ye Hao used the Heart of the God of Death and Death Spider Emperor Poison to force Tang Hao's retreat 115 116.

He revealed Ye Hao's connection to Spirit Hall and Bibi Dong to Tang San, warning him that Ye Hao was protected by multiple Titled Douluo 145 172.

Tang Hao and Tang Xiao later tried to intercept Ye Hao near Sunset Forest. Ye Hao, Spider Spider, and Zhu'er defeated them; Tang Hao lost his right arm and left leg, both of which became Clear Sky Sect Soul Bones claimed by Ye Hao 196 197.

Final Battle and Death

After Tang San was badly injured at Moonlight Pavilion, Tang Hao challenged Ye Hao to a one-on-one battle despite his crippled condition. He fought with the Clear Sky Hammer and Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer, refusing to yield even after his strength had declined 220.

Ye Hao revealed that he possessed Ah Yin's Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring, then used the Death Spider Emperor Martial Soul and Death Domain to poison Tang Hao. Tang Hao was killed by Ye Hao's Blood Sucking Spider Thorn while Tang San watched helplessly 220.
