The pen kept moving across the paper, getting on Miss Ma's nerves. After repeatedly trying and failing to use her props, she started cursing again.
The man across from her didn't react at all. He watched her through his glasses with cool eyes as he took notes in his notebook. His expression barely changed, but judging by how quickly he was writing, he wasn't as relaxed as before.
"Looks like your condition hasn't improved." When Miss Ma finished cursing, he closed his notebook and shook his head. "You can't leave this room for now."
Miss Ma looked suspicious. From the start, she hadn't known what this man was doing. He seemed to be trying to get information out of her, but he hadn't asked anything important. Instead, he kept writing and muttering to himself.
"Don't think you can fool me like this. You're just a mental-type Super Evolver. Even if you want to control me, how long can you keep it up? Either kill me outright, or forget about making me submit!"
Xu Huo picked up his notebook and prepared to leave.
Miss Ma realized she could move again, but now there was an iron chain around her hands and feet, allowing her only a limited range of movement. The room was no longer pure white as before; it had returned to its original appearance.
Though her hands and feet were still bound, Miss Ma seemed a little more at ease. Holding the chain, she crept quietly to the door. Just as she was about to open it and call for help, she heard Xu Huo speaking to Zheng Da outside. "Her condition is worse than it was during her last assessment. She may become violent. Don't open the door for her, and be careful when you bring her meals."
