Earlier, when discussing the Dungeon with Yan Jiayu, they had talked about its timeline. Xu Huo leaned toward the Dungeon's time being roughly synchronized with the outside world, while Yan Jiayu suspected that the "one month ago" mentioned in the game's backstory wasn't a literal month ago, but a figure of speech.
But whichever was the case, it was true that someone had discovered long ago that the Queen made dolls and had even struck a deal with the King. At the very least, the mine really existed.
Some fixed Dungeons in the game occupied a certain area of a Sub-district, like Rose Castle. Others, like the W37 Base City and Gemini City Dungeons, existed permanently somewhere in reality. This fairy-tale Dungeon was somewhat like a Random Instance, connected through a passage. That didn't mean its world didn't exist, though. Rather, it occupied a separate space that seemed not to connect with the Sub-district when it was open.
Players couldn't leave a Random Instance before clearing it, nor could they explore beyond it. He didn't know whether the same applied to this fairy tale. The backstory mentioned only Moon City, but judging by the rumors circulating among merchants, this Dungeon was far larger than just two cities. And the mine was real... Normally, the place where this Dungeon existed should also be a Sub-district, but it was unclear whether it had been assigned a number.
Xu Huo was rather curious to see Moon City.
He emerged from the shadows and walked up to the small courtyard, gently knocking on the gate.
The house fell quiet for a moment. Then came a flurry of cautious movement. Xu Huo waited patiently outside for the old woman to come answer.
The old woman opened the gate a crack and said in a low
