The question of whether he could pass through walls no longer mattered. He was already inside, so who cared how he'd gotten in? The game was full of all sorts of bizarre items. What was so strange about walking through a wall?
"What did he do?" the glasses man immediately asked, getting straight to the point.
Who knew?
The Players in the command room had all been caught off guard. They didn't even know how long they'd been in there, so how could they remember what he'd done? They barely recalled that he'd been standing beside the interpreter, but that didn't help. Everyone in the command room had vanished.
A flicker of anger crossed the glasses man's eyes. He immediately headed back up to ground level, only to discover that the Players left behind had been reduced to corpses. The government officials who'd been detained had vanished without a trace, just like the people in the command room!
Moments later, news came from the residential buildings. The situation there was the same: every person who'd been locked up had been rescued.
"Did they bring in outside help?" a Player asked.
"A bunch of useless idiots," the glasses man Cai Bo muttered.
That provoked some of the Players. "Cai Bo, I've put up with you long enough. You act all high and mighty, ordering people around. If you've got the guts, go find them!"
Cai Bo had little to say. His face, still flushed with anger, plainly read, "You're too stupid to argue with." Ignoring the Player who'd taken the bait, he turned and left the Small Building.
It seemed the explosion earlier had been meant to draw people away. In fact, the strongest Players had all gone out, mainly to gather information and make sure they wouldn't miss the arrival
