Blocking the windows ahead of time had been useful, because that sticky sound meant the aliens outside had struck the metal plates. The players inside the carriage could even hear what sounded like mouths—or rather, suction cups—rolling over the metal plates, searching like living creatures for a gap to enter through.

The players were feeling far from good. There was no doubt that they were surrounded. Although they could not see what the things outside looked like, they were likely even more bizarre than any aliens they had encountered before. They were all on the train roof, yet their mouths were on both sides of the windows. The less a species resembled anything that existed in reality, the more likely it was the product of an even more severe genetic mutation. Such species often possessed attack power beyond human imagination.

The windows had already been sealed, yet the aliens continued searching outside. Before long, a heavy object crashed to the floor behind them, accompanied by the shattering of a window. Everyone realized at once: Some of the carriages had not sealed off the Transfer Carriage as well!
