At those words, everyone felt as if they had swallowed a fly. From the hole in the window and the thing that had wriggled past the outside of the carriage earlier, if it had been an Alien, then Aliens could change size. That meant more than just being able to grow or shrink. Even if dismembered, an Alien might not die, and it might even reproduce at an extremely high rate, regrowing into a complete organism in a very short time.
"These are all just guesses," the man in the white suit said coolly. "We haven't even seen what an Alien looks like. Imagining how difficult it might be to deal with won't do us any good in our current situation."
"Then what do you mean?" The crew cut seemed to have caught his drift and pressed him for an answer.
"Don't we have boxes right here?" The man in the white suit pointed back toward the three boxes still in the second carriage. "Whether they contain an Alien that can reproduce rapidly or some kind of Potion that attracts Aliens—we'll know if we open one and take a look."
They hadn't opened the boxes earlier because it might have led to even worse consequences. But after two killings, everyone had realized that even if there were Aliens capable of interfering with their mental states, their numbers or range of activity had to be very limited. At the very least, they couldn't attack everyone at once, and could only kill one or two people at a time. They posed no real threat to the group in the short term, so they might as well take advantage of the time they had to learn more about the Aliens.
"What time is it?" Xu Huo suddenly asked.
"It's time for the lights
