The man Xu Huo had rescued was called Sun Su. He was quick-witted: using an expired credential he'd bought on the secondhand market, he'd managed to sneak into a members-only venue. That was where he discovered signs of the cult. After finding a way to leave clues for his older brother, he went in alone to find evidence of their crimes. Unfortunately, before he could take any pictures, the cult members caught him red-handed. During questioning, they learned that he had an older brother who was a player, so they kept him alive for the time being, waiting for his brother to walk into their trap.

Events unfolded just as the cult members had expected. Sun Su's older brother, Sun Yong, came looking for him. Dealing with a D-class player should have been easy, but Sun Yong had unexpectedly advanced to High-level Player on his last outing and acquired two more items that could save his life and help him escape. That was how he managed to break through the White Shoulder Badge's encirclement and make his way to Rose Castle.
