Xu Huo didn't take the doll. Instead, he waited for the other players to find it.
The dungeon description hinted at a hidden rule against destroying the dolls, so the other players hadn't tried to seize this one either. In the end, it fell into the high-ponytailed woman's hands.
"Why is it incomplete?" The high-ponytailed woman frowned at the doll in her hands. She had already searched every nearby place she could think of, but hadn't found its severed arm.
"Maybe it was incomplete from the start," Xu Huo said. "The Castle's owner made the dolls. He and the servants were the first to come into contact with them, and the servants were unlikely to go against their master's wishes."
"You mean the Castle's owner deliberately left the arm off?" The high-ponytailed woman didn't understand what he meant.
"Maybe he made it, then deliberately took it off," the sweet girl said with a smile. "People have artistic aspirations, but that doesn't mean they get it right on the first try. Reworking things is normal."
That explanation wasn't entirely impossible. The most important questions were why the doll had appeared randomly in a corner of the art studio and what the Castle's owner had intended by placing it there. If the arm had been removed from the start, did that mean the doll couldn't become "a doll that satisfied the doll maker"?
This wasn't good news for the players, especially the high-ponytailed woman. Among all the possibilities for obtaining a doll, getting their own was the most legitimate and convenient.
If they couldn't get their own dolls, they could only take someone else's.
The high-ponytailed woman couldn't help shifting her gaze from the doll to the others.
