"Before anyone realized they had entered this space, they had no related memories. Meng Wenguang's records lasted until 9:17 p.m. In other words, the period from 9:01 a.m. to 9:17 p.m. could be recorded, and those records wouldn't disappear; we simply lost our memories."
"But there's one problem: Meng Wenguang and the others, whose records were preserved, hadn't seen the Time Tower in the previous few days. We don't know whether that's related."
That was where the contradiction lay. Meng Wenguang and the others couldn't see the Time Tower, but their records were preserved. Xu Huo and Wang Ling, on the other hand, could see the tower, but neither had any related records. They couldn't tell whether seeing the Time Tower had somehow shuffled their memories and records as well.
"Should we try Mr. Wang's method?" Yue Rui suggested. "If we can get to the area around the Time Tower one step ahead of you, then whether or not we find you, we'll be able to prove that our records are intact before 9:17 p.m. The main problem is what happens after 9:17."
Her words left Lu Miaomiao and the others silent. Wang Ling had a point, but the key was that their memories from before they arrived here connected to District 011 outside. According to Xu Huo, they had been in this space the whole time, and time in this space was synchronized. So if they woke up later than Meng Wenguang and the others that morning, what had they been doing during those hours?
Had they entered another space, or had they been unconscious?
If Xu Huo was right and there were multiple spaces, that would be one thing. But if they'd been unconscious, would they really dare send Meng Wenguang and the others to look for them?
