The footage on the recorder wasn't much different from the notes. They hadn't made any other discoveries over the past two days, and had kept repeating their explorations of the surrounding streets. Each time they regained awareness, they were near the Mall, so Feng Hui had joined them too. The records also mentioned another Player, but after crossing paths with them, that person had simply left without speaking to them. They hadn't appeared in yesterday's or today's records.
"He probably went in another direction," Meng Wenguang said. "We tried searching in a different direction this morning, too. We came back without running into anyone else."
Xu Huo quickly finished reading the notes. After a brief silence, he asked, "Are you sure everything in them is true?"
"I wrote them myself. They're definitely accurate," Meng Wenguang said firmly. "Besides the notes, we have the recorder. At least everything we experienced is real."
Still unsure about the written records, Xu Huo asked to see the footage.
Meng Wenguang hesitated briefly, then agreed. Xu Huo focused on one particular segment: the footage from yesterday afternoon, when Meng Wenguang and the others had headed in his direction.
Almost everything else was the same. The only thing missing was the Time Tower.
Their recordings also happened to cut off at 9:10 p.m. each night. It seemed the 9:17 on the front of the Time Tower really did have a special significance, and the key to this instance lay in that tower.
"Why is there no footage after 9:10?" Xu Huo asked.
"You probably won't believe this, but after realizing the time was wrong, we left the recorder running where we stopped, too. The one from the first day was ruined. On the second day, we collected it before 9:10, so we were able to save
