Xu Huo held his dizzying head. "Was that Time Power just now?"
Huahan Werner smiled without answering. Instead, he said, "There's nothing wrong with keeping things as they are."
Xu Huo knew, of course, the benefits the water Rubik's Cube brought him. Otherwise, he wouldn't have dared enter the Dungeon beneath Cangxian Lake. But he wanted to find a way to resolve this.
"Can't it be removed from my body?" he asked.
"That's not especially difficult." Huahan said, "Although it only sealed your Space Power, it's still a combination of space and time powers. So either Space Power or Time Power could counter it. But you might not survive having it forcibly destroyed by an outside force. The best solution is to evolve again, until you can control or dispel it naturally."
Xu Huo frowned. "Why can this kind of super instrument take up residence inside a human body?"
Take up residence certainly seemed to describe the water Rubik's Cube's state. Normally, whether an item was a prop or an instrument, it was easy enough to retrieve. No prop or instrument remained active all the time; when inactive, they were merely tools, without any autonomy. But this water Rubik's Cube seemed to have singled Xu Huo out, clinging tightly to him. Wasn't that strange?
"Isn't there a special prop in your Ancient Castle?" Huahan seemed surprised by his surprise.
A special prop. Did he mean Mr. Dong or the painted woman?
Xu Huo fell silent. He'd seen plants with human intelligence, never mind special props, but the water Rubik's Cube's state really didn't fit any intelligent species he'd encountered before.
"I was being narrow-minded."
"But you weren't wrong about it this time." Huahan took a sip of tea and leaned back on the sofa. "It has no mind, only a
