Fish Banquet Tower had plenty of rooms. Even if they ran short on tools and devices, they could still slip into a room to shake off the Fish Banquet players. The only thing they had to watch out for was the people or things inside.
Xu Huo rushed to the 53rd floor. After using an Ability to make a quick, rough assessment, he opened a room. Fortunately, there were three Players inside. They clearly weren't together, each keeping an eye on the others, and none of them made a move against him.
"I'm just coming in to lie low for a while." Xu Huo raised his hands first to show he meant no harm and only wanted somewhere to stay.
The other three didn't move. They looked at one another, and after a moment, the old man pointed to an empty spot. "You can stay there."
Xu Huo slowly made his way over. The painted woman was much more relaxed. She went straight to a nearby sofa and sat down, paying no attention to the others' stares. She rummaged through her backpack, realized she was out of food, and turned to him.
Xu Huo knew what she meant, but only tossed her a few pieces of candy. "We might have to keep running for our lives later. Don't rush."
"Every time a Fish Banquet door is opened from the outside, the room it leads to changes. The odds of getting the same room again are very low," the old man said. "You're safe here."
That depended on whether the people running Fish Banquet also had to follow the building's rules—or, rather, whether they fully understood how the items in this place worked.
