Soul Tremor
The old woman had lost interest in talking to him. She waved her hand. "Move aside. Don't keep me from looking at the flowers."
They hadn't gotten the address, and the two Bowl family Players didn't seem particularly easy to talk to either. Bubble Bean, who had returned empty-handed, glanced at the painted woman, who was snickering nearby, and glared at her.
The painted woman rummaged around in her pocket and pulled out a stamp fruit. It was clearly a new one, and what was written on it wasn't "I was here," but "I'm the ugliest person in the world."
Bubble Bean knew there was no reasoning with her, so he looked at Xu Huo. Xu Huo didn't look at him, but as though he had eyes in the back of his head, he said, "If you've got nothing to do, look at the flowers and soothe your mood. Or go to sleep and catch up on rest. Either way, it's better than wasting your breath."
Bubble Bean grew even angrier. He simply changed seats, moving a good distance away from them.
It would be quite a while before the train reached the next stop. Most of the people aboard chose to sleep or rest with their eyes closed. Whether they wanted to sleep or not, after a while, everyone seemed to drift into a comfortable slumber involuntarily.
Another ten minutes or so passed before a Player came from the carriage ahead. He blocked the front door, changed into a Protective Suit that concealed his face, then raised a dagger and looked at the Players in the carriage. He must have expected to see them sound asleep, but when he looked up, he found four pairs of eyes staring at him.
Xu Huo, the painted woman, Bubble Bean,
