The two returned to town, and it was lunchtime again. At this hour, the town residents went home to cook, and the Players who had already entered the Factory returned as well. They were also receiving work rations, and though they looked to be in slightly better shape than the town residents, they were not much better off.
Xu Huo noticed that there was one fewer Player out today than yesterday. He happened to run into the Player who had spoken to him the day before, so he tossed him three eye fruits. "Another one gone?"
Having taken the food, the man was fairly willing to talk. Leaning against the doorway, he said, "He disappeared while using the Restroom. He probably took the chance to enter another part of the Factory. The two Players next to me and I didn't notice exactly when he vanished."
Once Restroom time was over and the person still had not returned, it was obvious that he had met with trouble.
"You haven't managed to speak to any genuine members of the Feng family?" Xu Huo asked.
The man pointed toward two houses in the distance. "Those two families should be genuine Fengs, but they're harsh toward outside Players. They won't even talk to us. Threats and bribes don't work."
Some Players had resorted to the old trick of promising to "escape," but the Fengs showed no interest at all. Not only the genuine Fengs—even those who had changed their surnames later usually ignored the subject.
