The Duchess had brought a short, bearded man with her. The moment he saw him, the Black Shoulder Badge members' expressions changed. Ran Ying strode forward to greet him. "Executive Director."

The Executive Director glanced at Xu Huo, then took his leave of the Duchess and departed with Ran Ying and the others.

The Duchess strolled into the Ancient Castle and sat down on her own before asking, "You've only been here a few days. How did you manage to offend the Black Shoulder Badge?"

"I didn't offend the Black Shoulder Badge. I just have a bit of history with Ran Ying." Xu Huo briefly explained what had happened since he arrived in District 011.

The Duchess said with distaste, "That woman is always scheming behind people's backs. Now that she's got her eye on you, she won't let this go so easily."

Xu Huo smiled indifferently. "As long as the Black Shoulder Badge doesn't openly attack the Ancient Castle, I'm fine."
