Xu Huo put the syringe away and left the Study Room, only to find quite a crowd outside. A large number of aircraft were parked beyond the entrance, and both the Black Shoulder Badge and White Shoulder Badge had arrived. Ran Ying, their leader, stood in the living room. She turned at the sound of his footsteps and smiled. "Mr. Xu, we meet again."

Since they had parted on the ship, Xu Huo had not dealt with Ran Ying again after returning to District 011.

When Ran Ying had brought him aboard as an outsider, she couldn't possibly have been unaware of what would happen on the ship. The superficial relationship between the "powerful one" and the "pretty boy" couldn't be maintained any longer. Yet she clearly felt neither guilty nor uneasy; she simply turned the page and adopted a professional attitude.

Xu Huo glanced at the two robots behind her—Cheng Bing and Guo Yingguang, the crew cut man he had met once before—as well as the long-haired Player who had been responsible for the interrogation. Only after walking down the stairs did he say, "Miss Ran, what a rare visitor. Please, sit."

"No need. I'm here on official business today." Ran Ying did not take a seat.

Xu Huo smiled faintly. "Are you here to arrest me, Miss Ran?"

"Not exactly..." Ran Ying paused, but before she could continue, Xu Huo cut in. "Then there's no rush. Sit down and have some tea first. We can talk after."
