The Only Way Is Together
Zhuo Wangsun and the others came down after them, unable to help exclaiming, "This place is so beautiful."
Once they switched off the lights, the fungi in the passage began releasing a faint glow of their own, forming an unmistakable path.
"I've never seen mutated fungi before. I always thought that even with Evolution, things like fungi could only undergo very limited changes. Looks like there's still a lot I don't know." Zhuo Wangsun sighed as he walked up to a green fungus, hoping to take a piece of it with him.
"Smack!" The female Player slapped the flashlight, its beam landing right on his face. "How many Dungeons have you even been to? There are tons of things you haven't seen. A lot of these things can make their own nests underground. I don't think we should take any with us."
Zhuo Wangsun shielded his face with one hand and turned around. "We can take these back for experiments. The sooner we know about them, the sooner we can be prepared."
Siming sided with the female Player. "It wasn't exactly a good idea for us to come in here in the first place. There are so many kinds of fungi, and some might cling to our clothes. You can see how this whole area is covered in mycelium. They're clearly capable of spreading rapidly. If we accidentally carry some back to our world, who knows whether it might cause another disaster."
The other three all turned to look at him.
The female Player was exasperated. "Why didn't you say that earlier? If you had, we wouldn't have come down!"
Siming sighed. "We've already crossed the fog forest. Going back through it would probably be the same either way. Just don't touch the fungi underground
